Overview

The Diploma of Entrepreneurship & Innovation offered by the Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) is a 1-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) qualification designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and innovation skills.

This program equips students with the knowledge to identify business opportunities, create innovative solutions, and build sustainable ventures in today’s dynamic business environment.

Graduates can continue into the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation with full credit transfer for first-year units.

Course Structure

Students complete 8 units (80 credit points) across two semesters.

Semester 1 Units:

• BUS101: Business Communication

• BUS102: Management Principles

• ACC101: Accounting Practice

• ENT101: Introduction to Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Semester 2 Units:

• BUS105: Economics

• ENT103: Entrepreneurial Marketing

• BUS107: Business Ethics

• ENT102: Creativity & Innovation for Business

Admission Requirements

Academic:

• Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) secondary studies; or

• Equivalent full-time tertiary study.

English Language:

• IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or

• PTE Academic 50 (no communicative skill below 42), or equivalent.

Learning Approach

The course blends lectures, case studies, workshops, and group projects to help students develop the mindset and skills of successful entrepreneurs.

Assessments include business plans, market research projects, innovation proposals, and presentations, promoting creativity and strategic thinking.
