The Bachelor of Community Services offered by the Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program designed for students passionate about helping individuals, families, and communities overcome challenges and improve their quality of life.

This course provides the knowledge, values, and skills required to work effectively across the community and human services sectors in Australia and globally.

Admission Requirements

Academic:

  • Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent), or an AQF Level 4 qualification such as a Diploma or Foundation Program.

  • Equivalent international qualifications accepted.

English Language:

  • IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or

  • PTE Academic 50 (no band below 42), or equivalent.

Students who do not meet the English requirement can first complete an ELICOS (English Language) course before admission.

Learning Approach

This program is delivered through lectures, workshops, seminars, and supervised professional placements.

Students engage in role-plays, discussions, case studies, and research to build practical knowledge of community systems, human behavior, and welfare policy.

Assessments include reports, reflective journals, group projects, and case analyses, designed to simulate real-world community work scenarios.
